Group sessions that help young people observe, keep a safe distance, use their voice, make decisions and respond calmly. An introduction to self-defence through games, movement and respect for training partners.

Youth self-defence at La Tribu dojo is above all a place to learn through play.
The aim is not to teach children to fight. It is to give them, step by step, tools to observe their surroundings, understand safe distances, use their voice, adopt a clear posture, make decisions and ask for help.
Exercises take the form of games, movement, partner work and short scenarios suited to the participants' ages.
Respect for others is central. A partner is not an opponent to defeat; they help everyone learn, experiment and progress together.
Young people also explore principles from different martial arts without being tied to one discipline. If they want to continue later, they can discover the martial art or instructor that suits them.
Sessions may cover personal space, distance, using your voice and saying STOP, observation and peripheral vision, decision-making, improvisation, movement, leaving a situation and asking for help.
A parent or legal guardian must remain present for the entire session.
You can request a place in a scheduled session. Groups, clubs or organisations can also request a specific date. The date will be confirmed subject to availability and the conditions of the activity.
