Martial fitness for women combining strength, mobility, cardio, partner exercises and movements inspired by self-defence.

Self Fit

What does this activity involve?

Self Fit is a martial fitness session for women, led by Adrià Cros at Club de judo de Barr.

Training mainly uses bodyweight, gravity, movement and partner exercises. Some movements may draw on self-defence situations, ground work, holds or grappling, without turning the session into a combat class.

The aim is to steadily develop fitness, mobility, coordination, cardio and strength while exploring movements and reflexes drawn from different martial arts.

Sessions may include exercises for the legs, glutes, core, footwork and posture, as well as partner drills that vary the effort and keep the practice enjoyable.

Self Fit is separate from the club's adult physical conditioning session: it is a dedicated class focused on martial fitness and self-defence.

Who is it for?

Adult women who want to improve their fitness while exploring movements and reflexes that can be useful in self-defence.
